We absolutely love any chance we can get to be a part of a South Asian wedding here in Nashville! For those of you who don’t know, they usually last a few days & have so many entertaining things going on all the time – even if we are worn out at the end, it’s fun having a change from your ‘normal’ American wedding 😉
Angela Proffitt provided David + Sarina with one of the most beautiful weddings to date! This first post actually covers the Mehndi (henna application), at Sarina’s parent’s house. It then moves on to the Sangeet celebration on Friday night at The Listening Room Cafe & ending with the morning Indian ceremony at the Omni. You’ll have to wait for their Saturday night American post in Part II! It was quite beautiful watching the two style mesh – all the guests had a lovely time experiencing each other’s different cultures.

If you were strolling around Nashville the morning of May 17th, you would have been in for quite a surprise. The Baraat is a lively time where all the guests bring the groom & his family to be welcomed by the bride’s family. Of course he’s guided on a horse, because it’s awesome that way 😉
